

Candice received her Bachelor of Science degree from WMU in 2003 and Doctorate in 2007. She has been a member of the Hearing Center of Kalamazoo team since 2005 when she began working here after her rotation as a WMU student. She has published one research article on the effects of cigarette smoking on cochlear function in 2007. Dr. Tackett received her Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association in 2007 and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Tackett’s areas of expertise include hearing aids and assistive technology. She enjoys working with adults and children. She says the best part about being an audiologist is “meeting new, amazing people and helping them to regain their ability to communicate with the world”. When not at the Hearing Center, Dr. Tackett can usually be found at home with her husband and cats, disc golfing, or listening to live music somewhere.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University in 1974 and a Master’s degree in 1976. He earned a Doctorate of Audiology degree from the School of Audiology of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2004. He has been a member of the Hearing Center of Kalamazoo team since 2005. Dr. McShane is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. His areas of expertise include hearing aids and assistive technology
Nikki earned her Master of Arts degree from Western Michigan University in 1988, and obtained her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 1989. She has been providing Audiology services in the Lansing area since 1989, joining the Hearing Center of Kalamazoo’s Lansing office when it opened in 2007. Ms. Bergman is passionate about improving communication by helping people hear. She has extensive knowledge and experience in diagnostic hearing testing, hearing system evaluation and selection, and the use of assistive listening devices to enhance communication. She enjoys the challenge of resolving concerns people have with their hearing systems.
